Chris Boehm is a novelist, songwriter, and published scholar, as well as an apprentice woodworker under the tutelage of his father, Gerry. After finishing a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at Washington University in St. Louis, Boehm moved back to rural Illinois with his wife and dogs to work as a carpenter. Boehm lives in a home he built with his wife, Rachel, and their three dogs, Kiddo, Sara, and Isabelle.
